Over 25 years serving Madison-area residents and businesses.

Capitol Bank planted roots in Madison in 1995 and ever since our story has been closely entwined with that of the local community and people we serve.

Our success and growth over the long term is built on making a difference in the communities in which we live, work, and raise our families.

That’s why, in addition to building relationships with individuals and businesses, we have also dedicated time and resources to a wide variety of community projects and initiatives. To celebrate our 25th anniversary in 2020, our 25 longest-tenured employees selected 25 nonprofits to receive $1,000 donations. In addition, our bankers serve on over 40 non-profit boards and committees.

Today, we are over $500 million in assets and are known in the Greater Dane County area for having a team of experts servicing commercial lending, business banking, mortgage lending and personal banking.
