eAlerts

In the "Messages" section from your Online Banking home page, you can establish different types of Account Alerts. An Account Alert that has been fulfilled will generate a message that can be sent to you via email or text message. In addition, Capitol Bank may send important banking messages to you through your Online Banking Messages Inbox (i.e. holiday reminders, product promotions, etc.).

To create a new Account Alert, complete the following 4 steps:

  1. Click the "New" hyperlink in the Messages section corresponding to the type of Account Alert you’d like to set up. (A new window will open to create the alert)
  2. Choose the Alert Type from the drop-down list and click "Next"
  3. Complete the required fields on the Account Alert set up page (the fields will be different based upon the type of Account Alert you are creating).
  4. The current delivery option will allow you to "Send to" an e-mail address. Your default e-mail address (as defined in our database) will be displayed. You do have the option of deleting it and entering a different e-mail address.
    • If you’d like a text message notification, you’ll need to know the SMS e-mail address assigned to your cell phone. Please see the chart below for some common SMS domain names (please remember, standard text messaging charges may be charged by your wireless carrier).
    • If your SMS e-mail address is not listed go to the following link to find your carrier. http://www.emailtextmessages.com/

SMS (Text Messaging) E-Mail Domains

Wireless Carrier Domain (enter 10-digit cell phone number before @ symbol)
US Cellular @email.uscc.net
Verizon @vtext.com
Alltel @message.alltel.com
AT&T @txt.att.net
Sprint @messaging.sprintpcs.com
T-Mobile @tmomail.net

Once all required fields are completed, please click the "Finish" button.

Once the Account Alert has been fulfilled (i.e. the check number indicated in your alert posts, your account balance falls below your desired threshold, etc.) you will receive a message via the method indicated during set up.

Please keep in mind the Account Alert System completes its processing with our nightly update, so you will not receive your notification until the morning after the activity has occurred. Notifications are sent before 7 AM CST the next morning.

Account Alert Types

The following types of Account Alerts, along with a brief description, are currently available through Internet Banking:

E-mail Check Posting Alert – This Alert will notify you when a particular check number has posted to your account.

E-mail Checking Low Balance - This Alert will allow you to set a minimum balance on your account. When your balance falls below this minimum balance, you will be notified.

E-mail Checking Deposit – This Alert will notify you with the date, amount, and a brief description of your last deposit.  If you have multiple deposits on the same day the E-mail Checking Multi Deposits alert should be used.

E-mail Checking Multi Deposits – This Alert is best used when multiple deposits are made to your account on the same business day.  Unlike the E-mail Checking Deposit alert, this alert will list the amounts of each individual deposit credited on the same business day.  Due to the amount of information associated with this type of alert, it is not available in a text message format.

E-mail Checking POP Advance - This Alert will notify you when there is an advance on your Personal Overdraft Protection (POP) to cover a check or other transaction that exceeded your current balance.

E-mail Current Day Activity - This Alert will notify you with an e-mail that a transaction has posted to your account on the current business day.

E-mail Debit Card Activity – This Alert will notify you with the date, amount, and a brief description of the debit card transactions that have posted to your account.

E-mail Loan Payment Receipt – This Alert will notify you when a payment has been applied to your loan account.

E-mail Savings Deposit – This Alert will notify you with the date, amount, and a brief description of your last deposit.

Email Savings Withdrawal - This Alert will notify you with the date, amount, and a brief description of your last withdrawal.

Text Check Posting Alert - This Alert will notify you when a particular check number has posted to your account.

Text Checking Deposit – This Alert will notify you of the date and amount of your last deposit.  If you have multiple deposits on the same day the e-mail option would be more appropriate.

Text Checking Low Balance – This Alert works exactly like the E-mail Checking Low Balance alert except you will receive a text message.

Text Checking POP Advance - This Alert will notify you when there is an advance on your Personal Overdraft Protection to cover a check or other transaction that exceeded your current balance.

Text Current Day Activity - This Alert will notify you with a text that a transaction has posted to your account on the current business day. The Alert will generate multiple texts for each transaction. If your phone has the ability to consolidate text messages you may want to enable this feature.

Text Debit Card Activity – This Alert is a shorter version of the e-mail option.  If you have multiple transactions on the same day the e-mail option would be more appropriate.

Text Loan Payment Receipt - This Alert will notify you when a payment has been applied to your loan account.

Text Savings Deposit – This Alert will notify you of the date and amount of your last deposit.

Text Savings Withdrawal - This Alert will notify you with the date and amount of your last withdrawal.
