A letter from Ken Thompson, President & CEO, Capitol Bank
Friday, March 13, 2020
To our valued customers,
With the uncertainty of the scale and effects of the coronavirus, we feel it is important to provide you with an update. A special committee at Capitol Bank has been actively monitoring the local situation and analyzing information as it becomes available. Of utmost importance is the health and safety of our employees and customers and we will continue to make decisions based on these priorities. Our decisions will also reflect the recommendations from state and federal authorities.
We are currently maintaining our business hours as scheduled.
You can find our hours by clicking here. Capitol Bank realizes that prioritizing our customer’s access to their money and the Bank’s resources is critical during this time. We have no immediate plans to close the Bank lobbies in Madison or Verona. If the local situation escalates and it appears that keeping the Bank lobby open would jeopardize our employees and/or customers, we would move to drive-up only service at that time. Both of our locations in Madison and Verona have drive-up and also have externally located ATMs. We are taking precautions including sanitizing work stations, counters, door handles and other high-traffic areas within the Bank.
As a reminder, the Bank has many products and services available that provide you 24/7 monitoring of your accounts and access to your money. Please utilize our Online Banking and Mobile Banking platforms, which allow you to view account balances, send money, open accounts, apply for loans, pay your mortgage and more. Contact us to sign up for these services. We encourage utilizing these services over the coming weeks for your health and the health of our employees. 70% of current deposits come to Capitol Bank electronically, so we are well-equipped to handle an increase in volume.
We will continue to communicate any updates or changes as they arise. The best way to keep current on Capitol Bank’s status is to check your email, the Bank website and our social media accounts for information.
It is important for our customers to know that Capitol Bank continues to be a strong, local Bank with local decision-makers. At this time of uncertainty, rest assured that you can count on access to your money and that it remains safe with Capitol Bank.
If you’ve experienced a disruption to your finances due to the coronavirus, please call us to discuss your personal situation and learn how we may be able to help.
Thank you for allowing Capitol Bank to serve you. Please contact us with any questions or concerns. Visit
